Toronto’s Redeemer is poised to put Canada’s metal
scene back on the map and ready to dominate the world. Their catchy,
groove-laden heavy sound has established the band as a serious force
to be reckoned with and their smoldering live shows leave their
disciples chanting for more while winning over those just awakened
to the revolution.
Formed in 2005, Redeemer is made up of several seasoned musicians
from the Toronto scene, all bringing variety and distinction to
this band. Both guitarists, Darren Quinn and Jay Cuddy shared time
in the now defunct RCA Records and JUNO award winning Monster Voodoo
Machine (touring with Marilyn Manson, Fear Factory, Carcass, Life
of Agony, etc). Their next project, hardcore/metal band Semi Auto
Reflex featured enigmatic Redeemer vocalist Shane Faulkner. Completing
Redeemer’s rhythm section is Anne Wolfe (former front woman
of critically-acclaimed all-female metal band, Shaftdrive) and Colin
Snortland (ex-The Hollow).
This tight, aggressive unit has put together a recording that draws
on their influences from bands like Corrosion of Conformity, Machinehead,
Down, Black Label Society and The Haunted while laying down the
groundwork for a new monster in metal.
So join the disciples, pound another shot, raise your fist in the
air and FALL TO REDEEMER! |
